Mobility is...FREEDOM CONFIDENCEJOYINDEPENDENCEHOPE

Every life is meant to be cherished and lived to the fullest. Every human deserves to be independent, to be able to dream and work towards achieving those dreams.

And in our mission to offer this to every person we have joined hands with ALTSO.

Currently, they have their programs in 10 countries across the world. These countries are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Somaliland, and Uganda. They provide Prosthetic limbs, Orthotic braces, and Wheelchairs. ALTSO – GETBAK
Partnership

ALTSO chooses its program partners very carefully by ensuring that they can provide the best quality care possible for children. And at GetBak we are proud to be the exclusive partners of ALTSO from India. GetBak’s partnership with ALTSO started in May 2019. And we have since been their exclusive partners from India. A heavy emphasis is placed on the partner’s ability to work in collaboration with ALTSO and to never compromise on the high quality expected. And we have been delivering consistently on both these fronts.

When we donate free mobility devices to children we are also making education accessible to them, we are opening doors that lead to employment and self-sufficient life. We are making a difference!

GrowingUpALTSO is our commitment to providing ongoing free care to our CoolKids, ensuring they maintain their mobility, and all the opportunities mobility offers through the age of 21.

As our CoolKids grow they require, on average, one to three adjustments per year to their mobility devices. One of our first CoolKids, Bhupenda, received his first prosthetic limb in 2006 at the age of eight. He is now 21 and has received more than 25 prostheses from our programs.
When a CoolKid like Bhupendra, who was not able to walk to school and receive an education, grows up to graduate from university with a degree in chemistry and hope for the future – that’s GrowingUpALTSO

As a young boy CoolKid Sachin dreamt of joining the Indian Army. He studied,  preparing physically and mentally, counting down the days until he could apply. Sadly, Sachin’s dreams were shattered when he lost both of his legs in a railroad accident.
21 year old Sachin chose to not simply adapt to his circumstances, but to push the bounds of his physical limitations. Sachin joined the gym where he discovered a new found strength within himself.
Last August Sachin was fit with his first Joshi prosthetic legs at our program with GetBak. After re-learning to walk Sachin realized a new dream: to represent India at the Paralympic Games.
